Hi Guys, I'm a retired tool & die maker and miss having a lathe & mill around. gunsmithing & hobby work. Have been looking at Harbor Fright stuff, but know that they have issues with the some parts, electric box's and motors some times. What would be my best picks in the $3500-$4000 range for both the lathe & mill? I am in Augusta Ga. and can travel to pick up a good used some thing also.

You can easily make a 3 phase generation setup from a 5 hp 220V motor and a static phase convertor (buzz box) which will allow the use of 3 phase machines all around your shop.
